Obituary of Belle Kahn

Belle( Rosen) Kahn 94 of Vineland passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 10, 2010 Born in Bronx, NY on October 4, 1915 to Sam and Gussie Rosen. She resided in Vineland for 65 years. Belle touche the lives of all who knew her and she especially loved spending time with her family, who will forever remember her. She was a kind and caring person, and a most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After graduating high school in the Bronx, she was crowned Miss Fleischman, NY in 1933. Belle was a designer for Bloomingdales in New York, and later owned and operated a designer dress boutique in Vineland. She was a wonderfull homemake, and found much pleasure volunteering as a girl scout leader and president of the PTA for many years. As a member of the Sons ofJacob Synagoge, she was the oldest surviving member, as well as a member of their Sisterhood, Hadassah, and Benevolent. She also enjoyed reading, movies, traveling, crocheting, and knitting. Married to the late Sam Kahn for 58 years, Belle was also predeceased by her parents, Sam and Gussie Rosen, her brother George Rosen, and Sister Helen Chonofsky. She is survived by her son Gary Kahn of Penn Valley, CA. her dahghter and son-in-law, Linda and Jacob Bierig, of Galloway, her three grandchildren Cheryl Bierig-Wisneski, David (Libby) Bierig all of Margate, and Debra Kahn-Wand, of Windsor, CA. Her four great-grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew, and Allison Wisneski, and Yoni Bierig, all of Margate. Her brother and sister-in-law Dave and Sybil Rosen, her brother-in -law and sister-in-law, Irving Cohen and Herman and millie cohen, all of Vineland. Also many nieces and nephews, and cousins Realatives and friends are invited to attend graveside serices on held Monday July 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Alliance Cemetery, Gershal Ave. Norma, NJ . Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of their choice. Shiva will be observed at her late residence Brentwood Towers 67 Howard St. Vineland, NJ
