Diane Guzzi

Obituary of Diane Guzzi

Diane (Fries) Guzzi passed away peacefully on January 23, 2024 from complications of a massive stroke. Now she flies with the hummingbirds!!! Diane was born on August 21, 1954, in Lancaster PA. She grew up in Vineland NJ and graduated in 1972 where she met and married the love of her life Tom. In May, Tom and Diane would have been married for 50 years. Diane and Tom raised their family in Vineland. They worked together tirelessly for many years on their family farm. Diane also worked as a school bus driver at Vineland Public Schools. Diane was a kind and caring person who loved her family fiercely. She was always there for anyone in need. An avid gardener throughout her life growing flowers, vegetables, shrubs, and trees. Also known as the hummingbird whisperer. She meticulously fed and cared for these tiny magical creatures. It was quite a beautiful sight to see the bond she shared with them as they fluttered around on dozens of feeders throughout their yard. She really enjoyed traveling in their RV. No matter where they roamed her first stop would always be the nearest Starbucks. You would rarely find her without two "Venti" caramel macchiatos in hand. In 2023, she and Tom moved to Foley Alabama (Gulf Shores) to enjoy retirement. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with lung cancer soon after they arrived. Tom was by her side every step of the way. Diane is survived by her loving husband Tom; her two children Dareth Guzzi-Roache (Hyuahda) and Tom Guzzi Jr.; her loving grandchildren Darius James Guzzi (Arden & Elias), Hyuahda I. Roache (Freya) and Tatyana Marie Roache; great granddaughter and the apple of her eye Imani Guzzi; mother Julia "Judy" Fries; sister Terri Cavagnaro (Dave); brother Nick Fries; sister-in-laws, Barbara Capizola (Peter), Gina Guzzi, Holly Burdick (Peter); brother-in-law Michael Guzzi, along with many nieces and nephews, best friends Janet Smithey, Kelly Marsh, Kathy Rodriguez, Denise Malench, & Kathy Esposto. Diane was predeceased by a baby boy, nephew Joshua Cavagnaro; in-laws Jennie and Bruno Guzzi; sister-in-law Jo-Ann Guzzi; and brother-in-law Robert Guzzi. A celebration of life will be held in Vineland NJ at a later date.
