Obituary of Karen A Michaels

Karen Michaels, 70, of Vineland passed away peacefully with her husband and closest family at her side on Thursday January 18, 2024 at 12:31AM at Cooper University Hospital. Karen was the wife of William "Bill" Michaels; together they shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Karen was born in Vineland NJ, the daughter of Charles and Pearl Bylone and graduated from Vineland High School, class of 1971. She had a passion for caring for others, especially those less fortunate and this showed through her work at the Vineland Developmental Center and PAFA, where she spent her younger years teaching skills to the developmentally disabled. Karen often enjoyed gardening in her yard, painting different ceramics, crocheting, cooking and spending time with loved ones and being the best aunt. She can be remembered as a women who often went against the grain, took the road less traveled and marched to the beat of her own drum, as her sister always said and her husband often said she had the ability to bring out the best in people. She was fun and loving and non-traditional in all the best ways. Karen is survived by her husband William 'Bill" Michaels; brothers Peter and Allan Bylone; sister Audrey (Bylone) Couch and many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was predeceased by her son Charles and her parents Charles and Pearl Bylone A funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday evening, January 25, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ and at the church on Friday morning, January 26, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:30am followed by a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 am from Church Of St. Mary's, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
