Obituary of Santa Anna Camardo

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Santa Anna Camardo, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 12. She was born on Sunday, November 22, 1931, in Bristol, Pennsylvania to Carmella (Papotto) and Franco Cipriotti. After graduating high school in South Philadelphia, she worked as a bookkeeper and later became a licensed beautician. After marrying her husband, Vincent James "Jim" Camardo in October 1953, they moved to Corona, Queens, New York, where they resided for 7 years. They moved to Vineland in 1959 where she enjoyed raising their two children until they started their business, Marc Antony's Hair Fashions. Jim and Santa worked side by side as Managers/Operators for 39 years at 2 locations, where she was beloved by many customers. In addition, she would do the hair of the residents at the Bishop McCarthy Residence on Sundays. After selling their business in 2006, she was able to finally enjoy a long retirement at the age of 74. She continued to be a devoted wife to her husband Jim for 61 years until his death in 2014. She was an excellent cook and baker and almost everything she made was from scratch. Me-Mom was loved and adored by her three grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa and Jimmy. Her family felt her name was fitting...Santa means "Saint" in Italian. She's been described as a kind, sweet, hard-working and gentle person who has always put others before herself. She was able to enjoy a long life, and loved her family dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, Carmella and Franco Cipriotti; her husband Vincent ("Jim"); her brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Laura Cipriotti; her brother Angelo Cipriotti, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Anna and Carmen Papotto. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Camardo; her son, Joseph (Janeane); grandchildren Matthew, Alyssa and Jimmy; her sisters, Dolores Caruso and Anna Rizzieri (Salvatore); sister-in-law Rita Cipriotti, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Comfort, for all of the loving care that she gave her, and also Holy Redeemer Hospice for making her final days as comfortable as possible. Family and friends are invited to a church visitation that will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral mass at 11am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Sacred Heart, 1010 E.
