Obituary of Melquiades "Mel" Rodriguez

Melquiades "Mel" Rodriguez (80) of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Mel was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico and had made Vineland his home for the last 72 years. He was the owner of Mel Rodriguez and Son's Automotive Repair at 2nd and Landis Ave. in Vineland for 35 years. He proudly served the United States Marine Corp. and was a Vietnam veteran. Mel is survived by his wife, Eva (Ciulla); sons Christopher (Jillian) and Gregory Rodriguez; his sister Carmen Rodriguez; grandson Chase Rodriguez, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Eleuterio Rodriguez and Maria Padilla; and his siblings Ralph, Phil, Floyd, Santa, Maria, Elba, and Anna. There will be a private funeral home visitation and a funeral service at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
