Vittorio "Victor" Santangelo, 94, of Roccamorice, Abruzzo, Italy, passed away peacefully, in his sleep, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Victor was born on October 19, 1929 to the late Pasqua Rosa (DiBartolomeo) and Antonio Santangelo.

Growing up in Italy and enduring the hardships of WW II. Victor learned his craft as a tailor and at times was relegated to working side by side with occupied forces. He ultimately became a Master tailor and in 1957 fulfilled his lifelong dream of immigrating to America with his loving wife and two small children.

By day he worked at Model Coat and Co and other various clothing shops. In the evening you would find him in his basement tailor shop making suits and doing alterations for his clients and local men's stores.

Victor was driven by his strong faith, his love of family and his hard work ethic, but he always made time to enjoy a glass of his homemade wine or a cup of espresso with friends who always came to visit. He was happiest sitting around the table with family and friends full of fine Italian food and wine, or listening to Italian music while beating his grandchildren at a good game of SCOPA.

He is survived by wife of 71 years, Annamaria (Fabiitto) Santangelo; his children, Frank Santangelo (Patricia), Rosanna Celluzzi (Alex) and Donna Cleveland (Robert); grandchildren, Dale Santangelo, Alexandra Celluzzi, Victoria Cleveland and Ryan Cleveland and his extended family, Jonathan and Matthew Rib. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Maria Palumbo (Donato), Lola Speziali (Paul), Marcella Shepard (Mark), Nicholas Conte (Alison), Anthony Conte (Yvette), Frank Conte and Danielle Smith (Wayne). Along with his parents, Victor was predeceased by his sisters, Angela DiBernardo (Francesco) and Maria Santangelo.

A church visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral mass at 11:15 am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
