Obituary of Douglas B Lord

On October 22, 2023 Douglas Brian Lord was welcomed into heaven. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Doug has recently been dealing with some major health issues and fought until the end, in true Douglas fashion. Doug was a long time employee for Parrish Construction where he took great pride in his work. In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Doug was a food enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his newly acquainted friends at Magnolia diner and the golden palace. Doug was always the life of the party and could always be found on the dance floor. You could always count on Doug for an open conversation on politics or a quick witted joke. Douglas was survived by his children, Crystal Lord (Eric), Joanna Lewallen (Steve), Charles Lewis (Kristi) and Paulamarie Michael (Eric); his grandchildren, Andrea, Cheyenne and Sofia Lewallen, CJ Forgan, Charlie Lewis, Summer Morello and Jace Michael. His long time friends Robert Johnson Jr, Rusty Parrish, Bernice Forcinito, Erica Hewitt and all his newly acquainted pals from the diner. The Family will be planning a celebration of life memorial service in early spring; with more details to follow.
