We stayed at the Best Western Plus with Mr. Morris and his staff for 3 months while helping to get The REVEL opened. We enjoyed seeing him at breakfast and hearing about his amazing life. We only knew his a short time but he made a lasting memory for all of us with IGT.

Sylvia, Charlie, and Rachel, I was so very sad to hear of the death of your beloved father and husband. I have such fond memories of his days in Kansas City with my parents. My mother also passed just 2 months ago. May they both rest in peace. Love, Peggy

It was an honor to know and work with Morris Indyg. During my five years as the Red Cross Disaster Services Director, Mr. Indyg went out of his way to assist the victims of fire throughout Atlantic County and especially in Atlantic City. He not only provided rooms for the victims of disaster but also donated immensely to the local Red Cross. I will always remember listening to his story of Holocaust survival. The beauty of Morris was that he never forgot those that helped him and in return he spent his life helping others. My condolences to Charlie and family.

Morris was one of our favorite customers at the Pleasantville Post Office. He was a remarkable man that always had a kind word and a smile. He never forgot those that helped him and his family many years ago in their time of need and gave back to many others tenfold. He will be missed by many......

My name is Ellen Barnes and I am from Egg Harbor Township. I am 39 yrs old and the mother of 5 boys. I recently met Morris in the bakery section of English Creek ShopRite in EHT. He had stopped at ShopRite after his swim at his hotel in Pleasantville and on his was home to Vineland. Morris was in a scooter and I offered to get the bread he was reaching for. He told me it was for his dinner he would make for his wife. And how he use to be a baker. This was around the time of the Jewish New Year because I remember wishing him Happy New Year. He ask if I was Jewish and I said I was a Catholic. He told me about how he was hidden by a gentile family in Poland during the WWII. Long story short by the end of the conversation he told me to meet him by his car because he wanted to show me the picture of him and Harry Truman and of the picture of him wearing the coat his mother made him. By the end of conversation I knew his whole story, which I really enjoyed. I told him he should write a book and he told me his daughter did and it is at Stockton. He has been in my mind ever since. When I think of him I feel blessed that I was able to have such a great conversation with him. I always think of him when I pass the Best Western. So when I read his obituary today in the AC Press, I was sad but also glad that I was able to meet such a remarkable person. My prayers are with Morris's family...especially his wife Sylvia. From what he told me about her I knew they had a beautiful love affair with each other. May your family always remember Morris's smile because after 20 minutes of converstion with him, it is his smile that I will remember. Thank you for letting me share with you my 20 minute claim to fame with Morris.----Ellen Barnes
