Obituary of Lena Coia

Lee "Lena" (Recchio) Coia passed away peacefully at home of heart failure early Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Lee was 95 years old and was born and raised in Piney Hollow and was a lifelong resident of Buena. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rachella Recchio. She leaves behind her son Dr. Lawrence Coia and daughter-in-law Barbara (Schreiber) and loving grandson Stephen Coia, as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Romeo Coia and son Ronald Coia. Lee was employed for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper by Babbitt Manufacturing in Vineland. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish. She loved gardening and was an excellent cook and was active in both until her death. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A funeral mass will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Sacred Heart, 1010 East Landis Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
