Obituary of Neolita Dijamco
Rone Funeral Service
856-691-4222
Neolita C. Dijamco, BSN, RN, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 22, 2023. "Neoly" was born in 1953, in Cantilan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines to the late Eduardo and Damiana Crisaldo. She graduated from Lyceum University, Class of 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then fulfilled her dream of working as a Registered Nurse at Makati Medical Center (Manila, Philippines) in 1977.
She married Eduardo A. Dijamco, M.D. in 1981 whom she met while working at Makati Medical Center. Soon thereafter, they moved to Vineland, NJ, where she later gave birth to their oldest son Manuel "Chino". The family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1985 where their youngest son Jonathan was born. They returned to Vineland, NJ in 1989 where Neoly dedicated her life to raising her two beloved sons, a task which became even more daunting following the sudden passing of her husband Eduardo in October of 2000. She resumed her nursing career in 2010, finding a new passion as a school nurse/aide at All Kids First in Vineland, NJ. She was lovingly referred to as "Nonni" and "Ms. Oly" by her students and co-workers who adored her.
Neolita is survived by her sons, Manuel (Nicole) and Jonathan (Katie); sisters, Neome Azarcon (Atty. Leandro C. Azarcon) and Mercy Crisaldo; brothers Eduardo Jr. Crisaldo (Lilibeth) and Edgar Crisaldo (Mirsa); brother and sister-in-law Michael & Joji Dijamco; and her sister-in-law Bernadette Dijamco. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Eduardo A. Dijamco, M.D.; mother and father, Eduardo and Damiana Crisaldo; father and mother-in-law, Manuel S. Dijamco, M.D. & Evangelina A. Dijamco M.D. and her brother-in-law, Enrico Dijamco. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends and family in New Jersey, across the country, and around the world.
Neoly did not know a stranger. She was a kind soul and a loyal friend with her magnetic personality, loving nature, and signature fashion sense. She was a tireless and devoted mother who preached to her sons to be relentless, to work with passion, to sacrifice for others, and to always "do things properly." On top of being an unrivaled fashionista who loved shopping and spending time with her family and friends, Neoly was an incredible cook/baker and a relentless baseball, basketball, and hockey mom to Jonathan and Manny. She spent countless hours volunteering for South Vineland Little League and each of her son's schools. Most of all, she enjoyed cheering on Jonathan's baseball career as a player in high school and college then later as a coach and administrator also at the collegiate level.
The family also wants to thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff at Jefferson Hospital (Philadelphia and Washington Township) and Southern Oncology for Neoly's care and for allowing her sons to never leave her side at the hospital morning, noon, and night.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Neolita's memory may be made to: St. Augustine Preparatory School, attn: Advancement Department 611 Cedar Ave, Richland, NJ 08350 or Rowan College of South Jersey - Cumberland Athletics, 3322 College Dr, Vineland, NJ 08360.
Funeral home visitations will be held on Friday evening, May 26, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning from 9am to 10am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ.
