Ana V. Rivera Obituary

Ana V. (Pena) Rivera passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2023. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on August 1, 1949 she was the oldest of six children, daughter of the late Francisco Pena and Francisca Cruz.



She moved from Florida to Vineland with her family in 1963. She met the love of her life Dionisio "Nisio" Rivera in 1964. Ana worked a Progresso Foods for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts and going to the beach to enjoy the serenity of the sea. Walking the boardwalk and going to the casino was also something she loved to do. Spending time with her family, especially her grandkids were most important to her. She was a devout Christian and member of the Divine Mercy Parish and rejoiced in being around her religious family.



She is survived by her children, Yolanda Williams, Ana Gonzalez (Tony), Ricardo Rivera and Belinda Rivera who is also her caregiver; nine grandchildren, Eric Rivera, Francisco "Pancho" Rivera, Christopher "Chris" Rivera, Jonathan Gonzalez, Joselynn "Mita" Gonzalez, John "Johnny" Rivera, Tatyana Robles, Victoria Rivera and Gabriella "Gabby" Rivera; great-grandchild, Hailey Rivera; two brothers Miguel Cruz and Francisco Cruz; two sisters, Maria Cruz and Awilda Chanza; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ana was predeceased by her husband, Dionisio "Nisio" Rivera Sr; her son, Dionisio "Dio" Rivera Jr. and her sister Antonia Pena.



A church visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 1pm to 2pm followed by a funeral mass at 2pm from Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.


Burial will be private.
