I'm so sorry to hear of Louise's passing. Louise gave me my first job in education. I was an adult student at the Cape May County Technical Institute where Louise was the Administrator of Post Secondary Education. As a student, I remember Louise was very involved in the day to day operations of the program and visited our classroom daily. She was fun, down to earth and truly devoted to the students and staff. I graduated in June 1994 and in September, Louise called me and asked if I would be her Secretary. Although we only worked together 2 months in a professional capacity (as she moved along to Johnstone), I owe my start in education to Louise. We kept in touch for a few years. I just retired from Cape May Tech (28 yrs.) as administrative assistant/coordinator of adult evening education programs. Thank you, Louise. My deepest sympathies are extended to her loved ones. My deepest condolences to the Karwowski family and her partner John. I will forever be indebted to her for a sixth grade Social Studies project she assigned at Landis Middle School, 43 years ago. She had us choose pen pals from another country and correspond with them. My pen pal and I are friends to this day, and have connected several times with our children in this country and hers. Louise has affected countless lives through education. She was truly a gift to all of us. May she rest in peace. Best, Deanna Tomasso

I am so,sorry to learn of Louise’s passing. I began my teaching career at Max Leucter School and was always impressed by Louise. She was an extraordinary teacher who cared for the children.
