Obituary of Edith L Capizola

Edith Louise Capizola, 82, of Vineland, NJ, passed away on February 13, 2023. Edith was born in Pitman, NJ, to the late Charles W. and Theresa (Mesiano) Mielke on May 2, 1940. She attended Vineland High School graduating in 1958. After raising her four children, Edith went on to earn a degree in Horticulture. She worked as a Dental Insurance Secretary for many years in Vineland, NJ, and in Nokomis, FL. Edith enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. A Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and daughter, Edith, will be dearly missed. Edith is survived by her former husband, Michael D. Capizola of Buena, NJ and their children, Edith M. Taylor (Ken) of North Wales, PA, Michael C. Capizola (Gina) of Vineland, NJ, Lisa I. Woodard (Tom) of Bradenton, FL, and David A. Capizola (Janeen) of Wellington, FL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Andrew Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Lana Herman, Jenna Pacitto, Mia Dacy, Mikayla Woodard, Maya Woodard, Jordan Capizola, Taylor Capizola, and Arden Capizola, as well as four great-grandchildren, Charlotte & Natalie Taylor, Theo Herman, and Emilia Pacitto; brother Charles H. "Sonny" Mielke of Vineland, NJ and sister Marie Thompson of Venice, FL. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Ann Urie of Foster City, CA. A church visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 9:45am to 11:45am followed by a funeral mass at 12pm from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of St. Mary's, 736 Union Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
