As a distant relative who only met Duffy a few times, since she was the wife of my mother's first cousin, Dr. Bill Brodsky ("Doctor Bill in our family to distinguish him from his own younger Brodsky cousin, "Little Bill"), I regret to say I just recently learned of Duffy's death earlier this year, and just now discovered this remarkably eloquent obituary.
It is truly one of the most bountiful, marvelously descriptive, and most especially loving tributes I have ever had the wonder--and even pleasure--to encounter.
Deriving "pleasure" from reading an obituary does not at first sound like the appropriate thing to say, but yet this paragon of a loving tribute to an extraordinary woman stands out as a stunning exception.
Thank you so very much for sharing the pleasure of Duffy's life and impact!
