Julio V. "Jules" Scavelli, 89, of Vineland passed away on December 3, 2022. He was born to the late Joseph and Anne Scavelli in Bronx, NY. He graduated from Clayton High School and joined his father in the family business. He ran Scavelli Shoe Repair Shop for 50 years. Jules loved classic movies. One of his favorites was "The Treasure of Sierra Madre" starring Humphrey Bogart. He loved seeing the movies in theatres on the big screen. Jules was a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra Family Circle where he attended many concerts with his wife Millie. He also met many famous concert conductors including Leopold Stabowski. They discussed the pros and cons of many recordings. He loved watching the Phillies and Eagles games. In the early days of his marriage to Millie, they spent weekends in Cape May crossing to Delaware on the ferry, and spent summers in Florida with in-laws. Jules and Millie were married June 24, 1961 at Sacred Heart Church in Vineland, they were married 61 years. Jules is survived by his wife Millie; brother Ramon; nephew Ramon; sister-in-law Marlene Garbarino and brother-in-law Robert Sileo. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his sisters-in-law Joan Scavelli, Sandra Atrawhecker and Arlene Sileo and his brother-in-law Charles Garbarino. Services and burial will be private.
