Obituary of William W Beattie

William W. Beattie, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away suddenly on November 28, 2022. "Billy" was born on April 22, 1975, in Vineland, New Jersey. He was a Landisville native and attended Buena Regional High School, Class of 1993. Billy worked briefly at Fibertech Nonwovens in Landisville before becoming a police officer. He worked as a patrol officer for the Borough of Buena and Egg Harbor City Police Departments. He also worked for the Atlantic City Police Department motorcycle unit, earning the rank of Corporal before retiring in 2009. Since retiring, Billy has enjoyed many hobbies such as crabbing, fishing, hunting, clamming, and watching UFC fights. Billy had a love of drag racing and owned a 66 Chevy Nova, which he raced at Atco and Cecil County, Maryland. He was a member of the Defenders Motorcycle Club and local hunting clubs. Billy was a past member of the Diamond Social Club, American Legion Post 270, Landisville Volunteer Fire Company, Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Company, and the Landisville Social Club. He is survived by his loving parents, William R. and Susanne (Ziech) Beattie of Landisville; his sister Stephanie Mastro (Mark) of Vineland; nephews Andrew and Justin Mastro; several aunts and uncles and many good friends that were like brothers to him. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Josephine (Speziali) Ziech, and paternal grandparents William C. and Dolores Beattie. Funeral home visitations will be held on Friday evening, December 2, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm and again on Saturday morning, December 3, 2022 from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories Cemetery, Landisville.
