Obituary of Christopher B Burrows

Christopher B. Burrows, 59, of Vineland went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2022 after a 9-year battle with cancer at home. Chris was born in Key West, Florida to Russell and Marie Burrows. He was a graduate of Schalick High School Class of 1981. Chris was an active member of the St. Padre Pio Parish in Vineland. Chris performed as Pontius Pilate in the Passion Play for many years. Chris was blessed to participate and considered his performance to be his Lenten prayer. Chris loved to golf, playing the guitar both bass and electric, make wine, cook and he baked the best cheesecakes ever. Chris also was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed his time at the gun range. He truly enjoyed Christian music and attended many Christian concerts. His favorite place to be in the summer was his home in Shawcrest to which he referred to as "a little slice of heaven here on earth". Chris was employed by Eatem Foods for 20 years most recently as a Maintenance Manager. His love for the Lord and life was infectious and he touched many many lives. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa (Murphy); his mother Marie (Gervato) Burrows; three children, Jacqueline Burrows, Christin Cappello (Damian) and Stephen Burrows (Amanda), two brothers Russell (Beth) and Michael (Nadine) Burrows. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Ezekiel and Elspeth Burrows, Christopher and Louise Cappello; brothers-in-law Chris Valeno (Carmela) and Michael Pratta and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Russell Burrows. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 11th from 6pm to 8pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland and on Saturday morning at the CHURCH from 9am to 10am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am from St Padre Pio Parish –Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland, NJ. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
