Obituary of Douglas A Leek

Douglas Arthur Leek, beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2022. Doug, also known as "Dougie," by close family and friends, was born on June 21, 1992, in Vineland, New Jersey. He was a Hopewell Township native and attended Cumberland Regional High School and Cumberland County College. After college, Dougie worked several jobs, enjoying the variety of life, while learning new trades. He was an extremely hard worker and started his own business, "Dougie Fresh Landscape." He then became a proud Union Laborer in Local 172 and has been a dedicated member of the union for the last 5 years. When he was not working 50+ hours a week, Dougie loved spending time with his friends and family and enjoying his hobbies including riding dirt bikes, working on his cars, boxing, good food and drinks, and living each day to its fullest. He had a remarkable ability to make friends with everyone he encountered everywhere that he went. He was known for his generosity and was always willing to be a listening ear or a helping hand to those who needed it. Dougie was a loving and caring person and is loved dearly by his friends and family. He has transformed the lives of everyone he encountered, and he will be truly missed by all the lives he has touched. He is survived by his parents, William and Terri Leek Jr of Elmer; brothers, William Leek III (D'Lila) of Millville and Michael Leek of Williamstown; nieces Lilly and Grace Leek; grandmother Yvonne Leek of Tampa, Fl. and many more family and friends. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Robert and Joann Linn of Bridgeton and paternal grandparents William Leek Sr. of Tampa, Fl and Margaret Smith of Bridgeton. A funeral home visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6th from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Burial will be on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 9am in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton.
