Obituary of Marcia Glovsky

Marcia Glovsky, 82, of Vineland, NJ passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022. Marcia was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gussie and Irving Cohen. Marcia met the love of her life, Leon, at a dance in New York and they were married August 22, 1959. In 1960 they moved to Vineland where they started their family. Marcia worked for the Vineland Board of Education, first in the administration office, and then assisting students with special needs at Vineland High School. Marcia was a member of Beth Israel Congregation, Hadassah, and Beth Israel Sisterhood where she served as president. Marcia played Mah-jongg with her best friends every week for over 60 years and very much enjoyed the casinos in Atlantic City. Marcia loved her family, her friends, doing crossword puzzles, watching The Hallmark Channel, and opening her home to so many people for multiple gatherings and celebrations. She was also a very funny and generous person and was always giving to others. Marcia was predeceased by her husband Leon in 2014 and parents Irving and Gussie Cohen. Marcia is survived by her children Brad Glovsky (Debra), Cindy Glovsky, and Tammy Glovsky-Ortega(Bobby). She loved her grandchildren Daniel Glovsky (Alexi), Jeffrey Glovsky (Jamie), Kayla Brower, Nicole Ortega, and Eve & Marlie Chiarello as well as Debby's children Jessica and Lindsay and Bobby's children Vanessa, Bobby, and Jessica, and she was so proud to be a great-grandmother to Dov Glovsky. She is also survived by her brother Michael Cohen (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Griswold Home Care for their help and care for mom over the past year. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Rone Funeral Service at 1110 E Chestnut Ave, Vineland, NJ. Friends will be received at 9:00am at Rone Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Alliance Cemetery, Norma, NJ.
