Obituary of Dorotea R DeVita

Dorotea (Boccone) DeVita, 90, of Vineland passed away on July 18, 2022 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Dorotea was born in Palermo, Italy to the late Joseph and Carmela Boccone. When she moved from Italy to America as a teenager, she brought with her very strong, old school values. She was authentic, kind and the most loving woman. Dorotea enjoyed cooking for her family; she made the best clams and spaghetti. She loved many things especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fashion, New York, Florida and the beach. She also enjoyed listening to Italian music, watching telenovelas every night, and shopping on QVC all the time. She is survived by her five children, Agatha DeVita Bilotti, Elsie DeVita Gagliano, Mary DeVita, Frank DeVita and Carmela DeVita Panzini; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph DeVita Sr; son, Joseph DeVita Jr; brother, Peter Boccone and her sister, Enza Circone. A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery- Vineland.
