Obituary of Carmen O'Neill

Carmen I. O'Neill, 77, of Vineland NJ passed away on the morning of July 10, 2022, at her home. Carmen was born & raised in Guaynabo Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of the late Elena Lopez O'Neill and Ramon O'Neill. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leonardo O'Neill, Ramon O'Neill, and her sister, Luz O'Neill. Carmen moved to Vineland with her husband Francisco Perez in 1974. She later received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Glassboro State College. She was a longtime Spanish Teacher for the Vineland Public Schools where she later retired while teaching at Gloria M. Sabater Elementary School in 2009. After retirement, she most enjoyed cooking for her grandchildren and gardening. She is survived by her brothers Manuel O'Neill and Hipolito O'Neill & sisters Gloria O'Neill & Teresa O'Neill, all of Puerto Rico and her sisters Aracelis O'Neill and Doris O'Neill of Bridgeton, her son Hernando Perez (Kimberly), and her daughters: Lillian Lugo (Halflo), Madeline Galan (John) and Yolanda Perez, all from Vineland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher Lugo (Sarah), Madison Lugo, Sean Mercado (Becky), Joseph Galan (Dara), Graceline Galan, Nathan Nieves, Miranda Nieves, and her grandpup Atticus. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Sean Mercado Jr., Camila Mercado, Alaina Lugo, Ivy Lugo, and Milani James. Services were private.
