Obituary of Barbara Ann Maurizio
Barbara Ann Maurizio, 86, of Vineland, beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 22, 2022 after a year-long battle with cancer.
Born on July 29, 1935, Barbara lived her entire life in Vineland. She graduated from Vineland High School in 1953 and subsequently attended Glassboro State Teachers College (now Rowan University), graduating with a bachelor's degree in 1957. Upon graduation she taught at the Park and East School in Vineland until 1968.
She and Salve Maurizio married in 1964, moving into their new home on their wedding day. For more than 50 years they lived in that home, raising their children Lisa and Michael and later doting on their grandchildren Michael and Denis. Barbara loved making friends and family feel at home when visiting. Whatever the time of day, no guest could possibly come and go without being offered something to eat. She had a passion for shopping and was a lover of fashion and design; in high school she was awarded Best Dressed, and throughout her life she had a faultless sense of style. She also loved her summers at the shore in Ocean City.
Barbara will be fondly remembered by her children Lisa Dutra (Bruce) of Vineland and Michael of Baltimore, and by her grandchildren Michael Maguire of Pitman and Denis Maguire of Vineland. She was predeceased by her husband Salve in 2015 and by her parents Romeo and Antoinette Nani.
A funeral home visitation will be held on Monday evening, June 27, 2022 from 6pm to 8pm at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ
Interment will be private at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
ARRANGEMENTS are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360
