Obituary of Donald M. Healy Sr.

Donald M. Healy, Sr. passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2009, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 68 years to Agnes (nee Wagner). Devoted father of Donald M. Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Franklinville and Barbara (Pete) Santilli of Hammonton. Loving grandfather of Mimi (Jim) Hall, Kelly Martucci (Biagio Ambrosino), Matthew Healy, Kristin Santilli, Stephen (Nancy) Santilli. Loving great-grandfather of JR & Megan Hall, Christopher & Lilyanna Martucci, and Evangeline Santilli. Also survived by sisters Charlotte Fiore of Minotola, Dorothy Giovinazzi and Dolores (Tony) Campanella of Vineland, Jean Foreman of Ruskin, FL, sister-in-law Pauline Healy, and brothers-in-law Frank (Marie) Wagner and Fred Anastasio. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers John and Henry Healy and sisters Genevieve Anastasio and Evelyn Forgen. Donald was a long time resident of Vineland & Newfield. He was a 1936 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and attended Villanova University. Donald was employed as a ticket agent at the Vineland Bus Terminal and a sales supervisor at Garden State Beverage Co. He was a retired member of Teamster Local 830, an Honorary Life Member of K of C Vineland Council 2531, a Hall of Fame Member of St. Augustine Prep, founding member of Villa Rosello's OLMA Society, served two sessions as a member of Edgarton Memorial School Board and was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Newfield, NJ. Donald faithfully operated the basketball score clock at St. Augustine Prep for 30 years and in the early years drove the team bus to away games. He enjoyed traveling, bowling and was an avid baseball fan. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation with the family on Thursday evening Jan 22 at 6pm to 8pm and on Friday morning from 8:30am to 9:30am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10am Friday in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Garden Mausoleum with the entombment immediately following the mass.
