Obituary of Albert L D'Ottavio

Albert L. D'Ottavio, 84, of Vineland, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2022 after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Nicholas and Fernanda D'Ottavio, the youngest of four siblings. Albert worked with his two brothers on the family farm and then in 1993 opened D'Otts Farm Market where he worked with his wife Janice. Together they loved creating beautiful flower designs of all kinds along with one of a kind fruit baskets. Albert enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and tending to his yard. He loved mowing his lawn, going crabbing and going to the casinos to play roulette and to eat crabs legs. Most of all Albert loved being with his wife Janice and his children Bruce and Karen, daughter–in-law Angela and granddaughter Lauren. He also loved spending time with his family and many friends and especially enjoyed many occasions with his nephew Wayne and his wife Sharon and their family. Albert was known for his famous apple sheet strudel and clams casino. Albert had a heart of gold, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He is survived by beloved son & daughter-in-law, Bruce & Angela D'Ottavio; his loving daughter, Karen D'Ottavio who dedicated many years of care for him in his later years; his beautiful granddaughter Lauren D'Ottavio and her fiancé Matthew Weinstein; and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Janice (Giglio) D'Ottavio; sister & brother-in-law, Beatrice & John Corsiglia; brothers & sisters-in-law, Edward & Mary D'Ottavio and Nicholas & Grace D'Ottavio; his in-laws Peter & Catherine Giglio and his brother-in-law Anthony Giglio. The family would like to thank his dedicated healthcare providers, Joanne, Joyce and Karl. A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 9am to 11:30am followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Vineland. Everyone is asked to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
