Obituary of Rosa Stagliano
Rosa (Procopio) Stagliano, 90, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on January 19th, 2022. She was born on May 15th, 1931 in Calabria, Italy. Rosa immigrated to Vineland, NJ in 1958, and married her husband, Nicola, in 1961. Aside from being a wife and mother, Rosa worked as a seamstress at Levine Clothing.
Rosa enjoyed cooking Italian dishes for all her family and friends-her home was always filled with people and food. She enjoyed taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City and spent most of her time with her children and grandchildren. A few traditions she instilled in her family are: cooking seven fishes on Christmas Eve, canning tomatoes every August, and Sunday family dinners.
Rosa is survived by her daughters: Maria Gaunt (Michael), and Josephine Stagliano (Frank Gigliotti); her grandchildren: Gina Thomas (Robert), Joseph Gaunt (Katie O'Rourke), and Anthony Gaunt (Brooke Kiter); her sister-in-law, Maria Procopio, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicola Stagliano; her parents, Francesco and Josephine Procopio; her sister, Sr. Gemma Procopio; and her brothers, Joe Procopio, John Procopio, Francesco Procopio, and Gregorio Procopio.
