Obituary of John Spadoni

John Spadoni, 97, of Vineland, passed away on December 23, 2021 peacefully at home. He was born on July 28, 1924, to the late Lorenzo & Amalia (Mazzoli) Spadoni. John was born in Vineland and was a proud lifelong resident. John, also known as "Pop-Pop", was not only a self-employed builder; he was a very skilled and passionate craftsman. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, loved being with family, and always stressed the importance of communication to keep the peace. John volunteered many years of his time and skill to Our Lady of Pompeii/Padre Pio Church. Pop-Pop was "Mr. Fix-It" - if it was in need of repair, he was the man to call to get the job done. He enjoyed visiting family and friends, talking and telling stories, gardening, reading, watching football, and driving his golf cart all over East Vineland. John is survived by his four daughters, Joanne Toffenetti (Max), Doris Mazzoni, Laura (Spadoni) Sansalone (Frank), and Karen Baldys (Karl); two stepsons, Bill Alburger (Lauren), Robert Carson (Cindy); 12 Grandchildren, Gina, Kristin, Rindy, Stefan, Stephanie, Kevin, Gregory, Amelia, Erick, Emily, Jonathan, Alice; 19 Great-Grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. John was predeceased by his wife Elfriede Spadoni; nine brothers & sisters; former wife Anna Siliquini Spadoni; stepdaughter Sandra (Carson) Alburger; and son-in-law Andrew Mazzoni. Friends and relatives are invited to a church visitation held on Monday, December 27th from 9am to 10:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Burial will be private The family is requiring everyone to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status and please social distance yourself 6ft.
