Obituary of Peter Ward

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pete Ward of Vineland on December 1, 2021 who was surrounded by his family. Pete was born in Atlantic City on November 5, 1964 and grew up in Ventnor, NJ. He was loved by many people for his outgoing personality and generosity. Pete coached youth football in his early years for the Ventnor Pirates and in his later years he coached youth VBA basketball, East Vineland Little League, Seminole baseball and Vineland High School baseball teams. He also worked for Perfect game tournaments and helped rebuild the East Vineland and Vineland High School baseball fields. Pete graduated from Atlantic City High School and immediately started working for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company until 1993. In 1994, he started his employment to present day for Fedway Associates Gateway Perrone Division as a liquor salesman. He loved his job and all his customers. Pete enjoyed skiing, golfing, fishing, yard work and especially traveling. He loved being with his wife of 29 years Robyn (Basile) Ward and his sons Nicholas and Matthew and especially his families' fur babies, Bella and Oakley. He is survived by his wife, Robyn Lynne Ward; sons, Nicholas and Matthew; brothers, John Ward (Sharon) and Philip "Duke" Ward; sister, Brigid Ward; father-in-law, Nicholas Basile Jr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Tracey Basile; and his nephews and niece, Andrew, Phil, Tony, Steve, Greg, Jaime & Gabrielle . Pete was predeceased by his parents, Martin & Joanne Ward; and his brother, Andrew Ward. A church visitation will be held on Friday, December 10th from 9am to 10:45am followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am from Saint Padre Pio Parish - Church Of Our Lady Of Pompeii, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be at the convenience of the family. Everyone is asked to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
