Obituary of Erling Harold Anderson
Erling Anderson, 82, of Vineland passed away on November 9, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland surrounded by his family. Erling studied at Salem Technical Institute for two years before beginning to work for Ace Glass for over 50 years before retiring in 2007. He started as a cutter and then as a lathe worker.
Erling loved working on antique cars and restored a 1927 Model T. He enjoyed gardening, doing yardwork, going on cruises with his family and especially enjoyed being with his pet dogs. He also served in the National Guard from 1960 until 1965.
Erling was a member of the Masonic Temple, Vineland Lodge # 69 since 1980, where he served as past Master in 1987 and subsequently as Chaplain. He was also a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church serving as an usher and elderly transport and a member of the Rollin' Tees Model-T car club.
He is survived by is wife, Irene (Zanni) Anderson; daughter, Dawn Marie Bermudez (Pablo); son, Eric Douglas Anderson (Megan); two grandsons, Owen Thomas and Lucas James Anderson; sister, Ingrid Arnold; niece, Kathleen Easterson; nephew, John Anderson; three great-nephews and one great-niece. Erling was predeceased by his parents, Harold And Elsa (Lind) Anderson; and his best friend, Peter Lampe. He will also be sadly missed by his friend Tony Cesta.
A funeral home visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
We do require that everyone wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
