Obituary of Harry Clouser

Born on January 8, 1924, Harry Clouser passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 30th, 2021, at age 97. He was born in Willistown Township, PA, the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Hanna) Clouser. He was a graduate of West Chester High School and Drexel Institute of Technology. He was married to his high school sweetheart Rachel Ann Beal for 49 years, until her passing in 1993. Harry served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe. He moved to Vineland, NJ in 1951, accepting the position of comptroller at Ace Glass, Inc. until his retirement in 1996. Harry was a committed community and public servant, presiding on many committees and chairing several Boards of Trustees. He was an active and devoted member of the Exchange Club of Vineland for over fifty years and went on to serve in the NJ District and National Exchange Club in several leadership capacities. Because of his many charitable endeavors, he was lauded and recognized with many awards. The Vineland Citizen of the Year in 1967, the National Exchange Golden Book of Deeds, and being inducted into the National Exchange Court of Honor are the pinnacles of many years well served. Harry was a true member of the "Greatest Generation" and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Harry is survived by his daughters, Jerry Dannenhoffer and Susan Napoletano; his son, Douglas and his wife Eileen; his younger brother, Jack and his wife, Pat. Harry was blessed with eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca Hagemann; sons-in-law John Dannenhoffer Sr. and Louis Napoletano and his older brother Charles.
