Obituary of Judith A Fagotti

Judith "Judy" (Anderson) Fagotti, 67, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. She was a lifelong resident of Vineland, born to the late Charles Lester and Irene Anderson. Judy graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1971 and received her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Seton Hill College (Greensburg, PA) in 1975. She married John Fagotti in 1979, and they had two daughters. Judy was a dedicated teacher in the Vineland Public Schools for 33 years. She started her career teaching Kindergarten but spent the majority of her time teaching First Grade at Dr. William Mennies Elementary School. Judy was named Teacher of the Year during her career. She was also a co-writer of the Mennies Math Magic Grant. She retired in 2008. Judy was a wonderful educator who was loved by many of her past students and was, often, sought out by them. While her children were of school-age, she was an active member of the Sacred Heart Grammar School and High School parent organizations. In her retirement, Judy was an active member of the Woman's Club of Vineland, where she was currently serving as Vice President. In 2019, she was named Woman of the Year. Judy was very creative-minded. She loved paper crafting and was known for her beautiful greeting cards. Judy was a true anglophile and enjoyed British historical movies and tv dramas. Judy was an avid watcher of The Food Network and HGTV and was a true crime junkie. Judy and John enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trips were to New England to see the fall foliage and enjoy different small-town experiences. Judy will be greatly missed and leaves behind her husband of 42 years, John Fagotti; daughters, Jana Arentsen (Jason) and Jessica Hyland (Dan); cousins, Michele Mercoli and Barbara Mercoli; mother and father-in-Law, Emidio and Jean Fagotti; brother and sisters-in-Law, Steven and Tara Fagotti, and Ann Fagotti; nieces, Anita and Alexis Fagotti; treasured grandsons, Benjamin and Maxwell Arentsen and Danny Hyland, and her beloved fur-babies, Chloe and Maxie. Judy is predeceased by her parents, Charles Lester Anderson and Irene (Mercoli) Anderson and her half-brother Bob "Andy" Anderson. A funeral home visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 3pm to 4pm followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will be private. Everyone is required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
