Obituary of Richard "Rick" M Fiocchi

Rone Funeral Service 856-691-4222 Richard "Rick" M. Fiocchi, Sr., 70, of Vineland passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 1, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rick was born in Vineland to Adeline and Edo Fiocchi. He was a born entrepreneur with his own business at 10 years old, Little Ricky's Bait and Tackle. Later he began working with his father at Fiocchi Oil and Fiocchi Tire Center. After that he went to build Wheat Road Golf, and was one of the first to have an internet website that sold golf supplies around the world. He then opened Uncle Ricky's Bar and Grille. He was a past president of North Italy Club and was one of the original members of Italian American Club. He was involved in many fundraising events and loved helping those in need. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1969, where he met his wife MaryJane. They were close to celebrating 50 years together this October. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren. One of his most beloved traditions was his annual week in Cape May with his family. You could always spot Rick anywhere with his orange hat on. Rick was fearless and full of life. In his early years Rick enjoyed fishing and golfing. In his later years he could be seen dancing, singing, and telling stories. Rick will be missed by many, but mostly by his family at Sunday dinners. He is survived by his wife MaryJane Fiocchi (Gruccio); daughter Cindy Dalponte (Denny); son Ricky Fiocchi Jr. (Stephanie); grandchildren Ricky Fiocchi III, Sam Fiocchi, Kate Dalponte, Vinnie Dalponte, Tony Fiocchi; sister Debra Fiocchi; brother-in-law Jim Gruccio (Paula), and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Suzanne Pepper. A church visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 10am to 12pm followed by a funeral mass at 12:30 pm from Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
