Obituary of John "Jack" Newton

John "Jack" Newton, of Vineland passed away on September 1, 2021 after a very short illness. He was born in Pottsville, Pa to the late Raymond and Mary (McAnney) Newton. Jack, his parents and five siblings moved to Vineland in 1937 and he lived here the rest of his life. He was a 1953 graduate of Vineland High School. After school he and his father ran a successful poultry farm for 35 years. During his retirement Jack drove a school bus for 17 years for the Vineland Board of Education and Sheppard Bus Company. In his spare time, Jack loved to bowl and bowled many years for different leagues. He also spent long hours rooting for his favorite sports teams the Phillies and the Eagles. He also enjoyed old cowboy movies. He is survived by his sister & brother-in-law, Eleanor & Frank Capabianco and many nieces and nephews from the Newton, Enoch, Capabianco, & Mastrini families. Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Patrick Newton and his sisters, Anna Enoch, Margaret Lilla & Elizabeth Mastrini. A CHURCH visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 9:15am to 10:15am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am from Christ The Good Shepherd Parish - Church Of Saint Isidore The Farmer, 1655 Magnolia Road, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. The family does request that everyone wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
