Obituary of Ugo Trasferini

Ugo John Trasferini, 80, of Millville passed away on August 21, 2021 after a long bout with diabetes. He was born on November 9, 1940 in Philadelphia to the late John and Catherine (Mattioli) Trasferini. Ugo grew up in Landisville and attended elementary school in the Buena Regional district. He graduated from Vineland High School in 1958 and attended Glassboro State College. He worked for the family business, Trasferini Oil Company for many years. Ugo was also an officer for the Buena Police Department and was a volunteer for the Landisville Fire Department. Aside from the pride that he had in his three children, his greatest achievement was serving fro the City of Vineland Fire Department, retiring as Captain. After retirement he promptly went to work at Home Depot. Ugo enjoyed all types of music, his home in the Poconos, skiing and NASCAR. He spent many wonderful summers in Sea Isle at his grandparent's home. He is survived by his wife, Judith (Kahn) Trasferini; children, Sandra Peace (James), Donna Litwin & Robert Trasferini (Karin); stepchildren, Mark Kahn (Shawn), Hilary Kahn (Cindy), Adam Kahn & David Kahn; 11 grandchildren: 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Laguna (Ted), Eleanor Souders (Wayne), Sara Riggio and many nieces and nephews. A funeral home visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Burial will be private. The funeral home requires that everyone must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
