I knew Frank all of my life. He and his wife, Grace were dear friends of my parents, Conie and Judy Gallo. We spent many Saturday nights visiting with them and their 3 children, Marlene, Keith (Francesco), Nick when I was a child. I recall Frank's creativity with his garden, his love of art as well as his large library, in his beautiful home. He traveled to Italy on many occasions and shared those memories when we visited. He was a great resource regarding medical advice and he and Grace were always warm and hospitable to us. In later years, they welcomed my husband and son into their home and continued developing family memories with them. I will always fondly remember him and his lovely wife Grace and their children and the times I spent with them.
Sincerely,
Maria Gallo Carfello

Frank and Family: So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He lead a full and productive life. He was my Dad's physician for many years until my dad passed at age 77 in the early 80's. My cousin Joanne (Canino) Pettisani was a nurse in his office in the early years of his practice. He was a dedicated physician and citizen of Vineland. May he Rest in Peace. Condolences to all of his family, friends, and colleagues.

Marlene, Frank and Francisco, Words cannot express the sadness I felt when I read of your dad's passing. Dr. DeMaio tended to the medical needs of my mom, dad and brother and was a cherished colleague to me during my time practicing medicine in the Vineland area. He welcomed me with open arms when I arrived in 1971 and supported me in all that I did. His friendship to me ran as deep as did his love for medicine and for his family. I have nothing but wonderful memories of him and will cherish them. Please know that MaryAnn and I are praying God's condolence to you. He will be missed.

Dr DeMaio Jr was not a fan of football. However, he was a wonderful dedicated father. He would come to Naval Academy games, where his daughter, Dr Marlene DeMaio was the Head Team Physician, and read history books in the stands! He would look up to make sure Marlene was not taking care of an injured athlete, but otherwise, "wouldn't waste my time watching idiotic football!" It was an honor to meet such a fantastic physician who did so much for others, his entire life.

I met Frank through Friends of Historic Vineland and during my time in the city, he showed my daughters and me great kindness. Although now, back in England, my memories of Founder's Day are some of the fondest I have. Frank was such a caring person. I know he will he greatly missed by all who knew him. My most heart-felt condolences go to all his family and many friends.

As a friend and classmate of his daughter, Marlene, Dr. DeMaio graciously included me and others in his many educational type trips and family meals. He was a gracious and learned man, who shared his time and knowledge with others generously. I will never forget his kindness and many philosophic discussions at the dinner table. My condolences to his family.

What a remarkable life! I remember a wonderfully uplifting conversation with Dr. DeMaio in Istanbul. We waxed philosophic. I will carry that memory forever. Grateful for his inspiration and positive influence in the world.

My heart is broken to learn of Frank's passing. He was a wonderful, caring doctor, husband and father and friend to many. I enjoyed working with him and others to create the history wall of South Jersey Healthcare that is displayed in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland Campus. He was generous to many and left a legacy to Inspira to help young doctors. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very artistic in many ways. My life was blessed to have known Frank and to work with him for many years. My prayers are with his family.
