Obituary of Michael Paul Karwowski

Michael P. Karwowski, 60, died on August 3rd at home surrounded by his loving family. Michael was a Vineland native, born on February 24, 1961 at Newcomb Hospital. He was employed by Community Realty Management as Executive Property Manager of Margate Terrace where he had worked for the past 30 years. Michael enjoyed spending his leisure time outdoors and camping. No day was better than one spent on the water boating or fishing. Mike had a profound love of animals and his dogs MeKiss and Drayko were his constant companions. Mike was an avid gardener which was evident in the landscaping of his home and the numerous awards he had won from Margate City for the gardens at Margate Terrace. Mike's love of family and friends was well known and was evidenced by his willingness to share his time and talents with anyone in need. Walk into any one of their homes and they will proudly point out the work Mike accomplished. As a Scout Leader, Mike shared his love of camping by mentoring many young men. He is survived by his fiancé, Kaye Thurman and her children Brandie and Jon; nephew and Godson, Stephen Karwowski (Courtney); his sisters and brothers, Barbara, Frank (Linda), Louise, Roberta Porcelli (Michele) and Albert (Dorota); nieces and nephews, Cynthia Clements, Anne Porcelli, Allen Welden (Gina), Mary Porcelli Mangum (Troy), AJ Karwowski, and Katherine Grablow (Jeff); sister in-law, Stella Dempsey; nine great-nieces and great-nephews and his good friend, John Barnabei. Michael was predeceased by his parents Frank and Josephine (Pogorzelski) Karwowski; his brother John Dempsey, and his sister Valerie Karwowski. A funeral home visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.
