I met bill in real estate class at then Cumberland county college. Bill was the instructor and provided many stories about every thing he encountered in life. Cumberland County suffered a big loss with his passing. My prayers go out to the family. James Ryan

Bill gave my sister Janice a joyful, fun loving relationship. His humor was only a fragment of the gift that he brought to her. His willingness to share a story that was positive and uplifting gave meaning to our time together. Yes it was terrifying to be in the back seat while he was behind the wheel but the joy and laughter of Janice directing and Bill rambling on made the memory of the journey even sweeter. You gave me comfort Bill when I Lost my Rose, I will rember your life as one that was full of joy for sharing a laugh and a glass of wine. I lift my glass and toast to you, as we all do,
You will be missed but not forgotten.....
Al of our love from the Meeks family

Bill's Closest Friends And Brothers (plus a real live girl...aka Lynda DeCarlo)
Pictured L to R are Bill's closest and dearest friends and fraternity brothers-Ray "Fielder" DeCarlo, John "Zelmo" Bland, Bob "Chinch" Ciancuilli, Lynda DeCarlo (Fielder made her sit for the picture!) the main man himself, Pete "PR" Riccardo and yours truly, Bob "Bass" Basso enjoying one of our classic "reunions". Bill and I met on our first day on campus in 1963 and it was like we had known each other all our lives. We lived across the hall in the dormitory for that first semester and then as roommates for the next 3 1/2 years off campus, along with Brothers DeCarlo and Riccardo. We all went our separate ways after graduation BUT never lost that inexplicable love for each other, that unbelievable friendship that lasted almost six decades and so connected whenever/wherever we could. Then many, many years ago, we decided to "formalize" our get togethers and actually hold our own "formal reunions", like this one, somewhere in the country...to the chagrin of the neighbors, I might add! We will miss you WillyJ, but promise never to miss the opportunity to toast you-Ah Salud!

Bill and I met on the ballfield in 1957 and became lifelong best friends. We shared many experiences together during those 64 years and I cherish every one of them the good the bad and of course the ugly. Bill was a true friend to many and if you were a friend of Bill's then you were a friend to all. One of his greatest gifts was his ability to bring like minded people together forming strong and lasting bonds. As the second middle child of the family Bill's wild side sometimes left everyone shaking their heads, but the strength of the strong knit family ultimately lead him to develop strong values. His only flaw was his sense of direction, as can be attested by many. But he always managed to get there and I know that he is headed in the right direction now. I will miss him everyday until I get to throw that ball around with him one more time.

Over the years I played golf with Bill. On one occasion, I consistently chipped my ball to the right, missing the green every time. I complained that I tried to stand to the left to make up for the direction of the ball flight but to no avail. Bill said, "Take your normal address and turn you right hand a quarter of an inch inward." I did as instructed and voila, the ball flew high into the air and landed on the green within two feet of the cup. Bill was such an excellent golfer; he could have, should have been a pro.
