Obituary of David Gross

David Gross, 95, loving husband, Father, and Grandfather went home to be with God on Friday, June 12, 2009. "Dave" was born to the late Benjamin and Rose (Liebel) Gross in Philadelphia before moving to Norma NJ at the age of fourteen, and a longtime resident of Vineland with his wife, Francesca of 60 years. David served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Calvary and Tank Division as an ammunition non-commissioned officer. In the 1950's David owned and operated Reliable Auto Sales automobile agency on North Main Road in Vineland which still exists today on Delsea Drive in Vineland now known as David Gross, Inc. Before the automobile agency David was in the poultry farming business for many years. Besides his wife Francesca (Albanese) he is survived by two daughters Joan Abriola, Jean Asselta, both of Vineland and son William and his wife Judy (Caulkin) Gross of Millville; one brother Harry Gross of New Castle, Delaware and sister Edith Goldstein of Cherry Hill, grandson Richard Asselta and wife Ashley (Margolis) , granddaughter,Terri (Abriola) and her husband Michael Cohen,granddaughter Laura (Gross) and husband Kirk Mayer and grandson Timothy Gross. David is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dr. Herman Gross and grandson Jamey Gross. A funeral home visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2009 from 10 to 11:00 a.m., in Rone Funeral Service where services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Alliance Cemetery,on Gershel Ave., Norma .
