Obituary of Violet M. Rizzo

Violet M. (Bowser) Rizzo, 78, of Hopewell Twp. in Bridgeton, NJ passed away Friday, June 4th at Deptford Center, Deptford, NJ surrounded by her children. Violet was born December 14th, 1942 in Beaverdale, PA to Samuel Roy Bowser and Charlotte Savannah Flynn Bowser. She graduated Beaverdale Wilmore H.S. class of 1961. Vi loved dancing, listening to music- especially Elvis Presley, watching WWE Wrestling, all things Christmas, baking Christmas cookies, strawberries, cardinals, and her family. She worked for the State of NJ at the children's Developmental Center for ten years. She is survived by her children, daughters, Debra Bowser of Pittsgrove, Marie Whitson (Dave) of Pittsgrove, and Roselee Rizzo of Laurel Lake; sons James Bowser (Suzy) of Grenloch, NJ, Albert Rizzo (Kimberlee) of Bridgeton, NJ; her sister Leona Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Violet was predeceased by her parents; sister Thelma Ickes; son John Rizzo Sr.; granddaughter Lisa Dilks (Rizzo); her best friend Sandra Overs, and the love of her life, her husband Albert Rizzo Sr. A funeral home visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
