Obituary of Lucille Mary Smith

Lucille M. Smith, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on March 25th, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong Vineland resident, born December 13th, 1938. Lucille was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1956. Through her high school years, she was an avid basketball player, earning the nickname "Little Lou". Upon graduating high school, she began her career at Vineland's City Hall, and after 37 years of dedication, she retired in 1994. Anybody who knew Lucille knew she loved to be the host of the party. She had many hobbies including tending to her many beautiful plants and flowers in her yard, fishing, and golfing. Lucille lived her life to the fullest through many road trips in the family van, a memorable family trip to Italy, and countless nights playing cards on her back porch with friends and family. Lucille was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, William F. Smith; their daughter Tracey, and parents Paul and Diana Milanesi. Lucille is survived by her two sons William "Rick" Smith Jr. and Michael Smith; sister Denise Kaganzev; three grandchildren Brittney Brown, Emily Smith, and Eric Smith; along with two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Lucille touched are invited to a visitation at Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, Wednesday, March 31st 2021 beginning at 9:15am to 11:15 am and will be followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Vineland.
