Jim Rocco posted a condolence

Our sincere condolences to the Barnabei family. I was proud to serve with Al on the Vineland
Police Dept. for over 20 years. A good friend and an excellent athlete. Albert had the
strongest showing arm Thai I had ever seen, a solid softball player and great community member.
We will attend his service when it is scheduled.

My sympathy on the loss of your Dad. Remember him well. It was a pleasure working for him on the VPD. A quiet but strong Supervisor who had your back. Never forgot watching the Phillies with him one Sunday afternoon while wonderful aromas drifted from the kitchen, many many years ago.
He is still well remembered by the "old guard" at our Co#4 Station next door to the old homestead. It was no wonder Asst. Chief Herk was first on the truck when the alarm sounded. Our current membership will honor him accordingly.
You were fortunate to have him in your lives for so long, and I hope you all have many good memories to ease your grief at this time.
Sincerely,
Dave DeWoody
Former VPD
Treasurer Main Ave. VFD Co.#4

Thank you, Dave for your kind words and reminisces. Our parents loved having all our friends over. (The better to keep their eyes on us!) What a great memory that is! Dad loved the fire station, we spent many hours there with him. We appreciate you sending condolences.
