Obituary of Mildred Tepper
On Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, Mildred Tepper passed away in her home in Vineland at the age of 98. Born in Manhattan on Jan. 28, 1923, Mildred grew up in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, and was the daughter of the late Catherine and Joseph Goldstein.
Mildred married Samuel Tepper in 1947 and moved to Woodbine. She later moved to Vineland, where she raised two children. She worked in the records department of the former Newcomb Hospital and was a volunteer at the American Red Cross.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest passion in life was spending time with her family. She was known for her caring nature, her deep love of art and her infectious laugh.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Geri Geller and son-in-law Charles Geller; her daughter-in-law Candace Tepper; grandsons Sam Tepper, Alex Geller and Stefan Geller; granddaughter-in-law Andrea Tepper; her great grandson Jackson Tepper and her brother Marvin Goldstein. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel; son Charles Tepper; sister Shirley Goldspinner; and her brother Leonard Gardner.
Her funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 at the Tifereth Israel Cemetery in Woodbine, NJ.
