Obituary of Kolman "Ron" Pitel
Kolman "Ron" Pitel, of Egg Harbor Township, died peacefully at home on February 22, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Ron fought a 2 1/2 year long battle with glioblastoma (brain cancer) and a lifetime of Multiple Sclerosis. Throughout the years he always kept a sense of humor and a positive attitude. Ron was the proud owner of Garron Motors on Delsea Drive in Vineland, NJ. He enjoyed his chosen profession immensely and loved telling stories about automobiles bought and sold. Ron was a wonderful dancer of 70's Disco music and he would be on the dance floor whenever the music played. He graduated from Vineland High School in the Class of 1961 and studied accounting at Temple University before joining his father in the automobile business. In retirement years he enjoyed cruising with Eileen, his wife of 24 years. They visited Scandinavia, Russia, England and Europe as well as always cruising to the Caribbean each winter. Ron was the youngest son of Joseph and Syd (Gelb) Pitel. He is survived by his beloved wife Eileen (Aaron); brother Gary Pitel D.D.S. (Joan); his nephew Scott Pitel (Stephanie) and several cousins and many friends. He is also survived by his best friend Buddy the beagle. Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the "Pitel Life and Legacy Fund" at Jewish Federation, Margate, NJ 609-822-4404 or the charity of ones choice. Due to COVID-19 everyone must wear a mask and social distance. A graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rabbi Bradley Bleefeld presiding at Alliance Cemetery, 970 Gershal Ave, Norma.
