Obituary of Marjorie Elizabeth Hennessey

Marjorie E. Hennessey, 85 of Vineland passed away on February 16, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Marjorie was born in Jamaica, New York on July 9, 1935 and raised in Philadelphia, PA where she resided until moving to Vineland in 1974. Marjorie worked for Biondi Hinnegan Insurance and Franland Construction for many years, before deciding to put herself through nursing school. After completing nursing school, she became employed with Millville Hospital where she specialized in the care of cancer patients. She is best known for her sweet smile, loving nature, sense of humor and generosity towards her family, friends and patients. In addition to spending time with her family, Marjorie enjoyed traveling, canoeing, target practice and being outdoors. Marjorie found great pleasure in planting flowers and working in her yard. Marjorie is predeceased by her loving parents John & Marjorie O'Connell; sister Lynn Werner; ex-husband, William Hennessey; son Michael Hennessey and her great grandson Channing Christopher. She is survived by her children, Marjorie Hennessey, Joanne Deola, Joseph Hennessey and Laura Hennessey; her grandchildren, James Deola, Michael Deola, Victoria (Tori) Christopher, Ryan Christopher and Shay Fourman; great grandson, Ryan Christopher, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. Due to COVID-19 restrictions everyone is required to wear a mask and social distance. A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:30am to 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
