I am so sorry to read about John's passing! Back in the mid 1970's I met John through an old friend who happened to be John's tool and die mentor, Andy Black, from Mantua, NJ. Andy and I performed in a band for many years. Anyway, John and I rode motorcycles together. I was a police officer in Clayton and in the fall of 1976, he and I took a road trip to New York state and stayed at a former Clayton Police officer's lake resort cabin. The next day, we rode in heavy weather to Niagara Falls..then into Toronto, Canada. We were young and adventurous and had such a good time. Locally, we rode our bikes in various areas. In 1977,I
got married and we lost contact for awhile, but occasionally would run into each other. I retired from NJ as a state investigator in 2003 and moved to Florida in 2014, due to health. I, too, developed heart and kidney issues. John was an outgoing, friendly man and will be missed. RIP my old "biker buddy"!

Sorry for your loss. I'll (Joe) miss our talks outside and on the phone. Dancing with the Stars is going to miss him as a viewer and the Eagles will miss him as a fan. He really fought hard for a long time and now he'll be a peace.
