Obituary of Joanne A Peters

Joanne Alice (Mottola) Peters, 70, went home to be with the Lord at home on February 4, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to car shows, baking and going to Ocean City for her birthday. She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays and gardening. Joanne worked for Vineland Public Schools in food service for the past 22 years. She is survived by her husband, Dawayne M Peters; children, Donna Peters, Timothy Peters,; Joseph Peters (Shari) and Cindy Peters (Hector); grandchildren, Kimberly Sperenza (Stephen), Anthony Peters & Alexis Martinez; sisters-in-law, Janice Brown and Florence Bowers; and many nieces & nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Alice Mottola; in-laws, Pete and Margaret Peters; sister Carol Panichelli; brother-in-law, Thomas Brown and her niece, Tracy Brown. Due to COVID-19 restrictions everyone must wear a mask and social distance. A church visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 8:45am to 10:45am followed a funeral mass at 11:00 am from Divine Mercy Parish, 23 West Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Bridgeton.
