Obituary of June Grant

Dorothy June Grant passed into God's hands on July 2, 2011 at home surrouded by her family. June was born on June 23, 1924 in Piney Hollow to Alfred and Dorothy (Noaker) Marazzi. She graduated Vineland High School in 1941, and worked at Kimble Glass Company during the Second World War. In the years that followed she raised her family while also working as a secretary in various offices, including the law firm of Shapiro, Brotman, Eisenstat and Capizola. Vineland High School, and after moving to Lander, Wyoming, Lander Valley High School. June's patience and penchant for perfection were demonstrated in almost everything she did, whether in her sewing, knitting or her incredibly detailed needlepoint work, but no where was it more evident than in her music. An accomplished pianist and organist, over the years June provided accompaniment to the Cumberland County Community Chorus, the Cumberland Community Concert, and sang with the Singing Ambassadors. Most of all, June spent much of her musical career in service to the First Presbyterian Church in Vineland, June learned to play the organ at the Church in the early 1960's, and returning to Vineland from Wyoming faithfully served the Church as organist and pianist, and at various times director and choral director. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and latter in life great-grandchildren, and would never miss a Phillies game on the TV. June is survived by a loving family including her daughters, Deborah Parrish of Cherry Hill and Diana June Hulme and husband Randy of Laramie WO; sons Duncan J. Grant, III of Milmay and Douglas J. Grant and wife Suzanne of Vineland; brothers Egery Nelson, Jr. and wife Nancy of Vineland, Alfred Marazzi, and family of Pennsylvania and sister Carol Esposito and family of Hammonton; her cherished grandchildren Valerie Parrish, Allison Parrish Kords and husband John, Brian D. Grant and wife Gabriela, John J. Grant, and Jennifer Lauren Grant; and beloved great grandchildren Maggie Kords and John Duncan Kords. A funeral service will be offered on Thursday July 7, 2011 at 12 noon in the Sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Landis Avenue in Vineland. Friends will be received from 10 am to 12 noon at the Church. A repast will follow Services at the Church Social Hall.
