William Reale

Obituary of William Barry Reale

William " Bill" B. Reale, 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday after a short battle with COVID-19. Bill battled and suffered from Hydrocephalus and Parkinson's for the past 4 1/2 years. Born in Vineland the the late Mabel (Schelder) Meschi and August "Auggie" Reale. He graduated from Vineland High School in 1958 and later from Temple University. He was married to the love of his life, Bonnie Parliman and this past July celebrated 60 years of marriage. Bill worked many jobs after marrying in 1960, specifically working for Bernard Engineering where he discovered his passion for Engineering and Land Surveying. Add an early morning egg route from Philadelphia to Vineland which enabled him to work his way through college and earn a degree for Land Surveying at Temple University. In the early 80's Bill was selected by Bob Pegolotti to join and create Fisher & Reale Associates. Late in 1998 Bill created Reale Associates, LLC Land Surveyors which his family owned and operated with his wife and three children. The business closed in June 2016 due to declining health. Bill loved what he did and felt like he never worked a day in his life. More so, he loved working with his family, realtors, contractors and municipal dignitaries and you know who you are. Bill was a member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club, where he held office as president in 1988 and New Jersey Professional Land Surveyors (NJPLS) Bill had many interests and hobbies which included, bowling, puzzles, playing cards, gardening and traveling. He enjoyed many collectibles which included stamps and coin collecting, baseball cards, snow villages and many more. Gardening and traveling were top on his list. You could always find him in his yard painstakingly working adding decks and additions and planting galore. This brought him so much joy. You could say he built an oasis in his back yard, hosting many pool parties, BBQ's and wedding photo shoots. He was very proud of his accomplishments. Only one other thing he could be more proud of was the fact that he was able to show his family this beautiful country. It was his childhood dream to travel the USA and to one day see the Grand Canyon. This dream became a reality and brought tears to his eyes when, in the summer of 1968 he stood before the mighty Grand Canyon. Every year thereafter he would strategically plan out a two week cross country vacation by car, in which he traveled to many National Parks. The holidays were important to Bill and every year he would transform into Santa Clause. he was the most caring and giving person bringing tears and joy to those who received. Bill was an avid sports fan and loved his NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He missed only one day of school his entire life and that was when he cut school to watch the Yankees in the World Series. His mom caught wind of this and called home, he answered and she told him to "march his butt back to school." Bill loved his family and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bonnie (Parliman) Reale; daughter Teri Cervini (Richard); two sons, Scott Reale (Michele) and Keith Reale (Jan); grandchildren Troy M. Cervini, Anastasia Faith Reale, Brent and Dominic Reale. He is also survived by his close cousins, Audrey Mavroff, Beverly Sokalski (Ed), George Asselta (Kathy), Janet Asselta and Ellie Thomas (Less). Bill was predeceased by his sister Concetta Clements; cousin Ronnie Asselta and his beloved Remy. We would like to thank the numerous amount of doctors, nurses and home health caregivers that have helped these past 5 years.
