David Miletta

Obituary of David Miletta

Dave Miletta passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020. He was born in Millville on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1960 to the late John Joseph Miletta and Kathryn Elizabeth (Robbins) Miletta. He was also predeceased by his Step-Mother Norma Jean (Anderson) Miletta. Dave was a proud member of UA Local 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters for over 35 years until his retirement in 2019. He was a local legend in Landisville and Buena Borough for most of his life where he raised his three children. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his friends and family, and was a regular at the Landisville Social Club, Babe's Village Inn, and The American Legion where he was lucky to have made lifelong friends. While Dave enjoyed his gambling, sports, and cold beverages, he was also known for his cooking, fishing, crabbing, and tanning at the beach with his "love-potion #9". Dave was very proud of his work, and left his mark in Atlantic City and South Jersey, working on some of its largest buildings and famous casinos. While he worked hard, he "played harder" and was always considered the life of the party. Dave is survived by his loving fiancée, Shirley Dorman, who was by his side in both sickness and in health. He is also survived by his previous wife; Linda Santiago and "husband-in-law" Caesar; his children; Samantha Foster, Rachael Russell, and John Miletta; his sister, Marlene Andres and her husband Craig, and their son Cameron; and his grandchildren; Kaycee Church, Benjamin Church, Kiera Miletta, Emma Foster, and Robert Russell, of whom he was so proud. Christmas was Dave's favorite holiday. He used to wake his children up on Christmas morning by playing Bruce Springsteen's, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". He enjoyed donating his time and gifts to families in need during this season. Dave wants everyone to celebrate and enjoy this holiday with their friends and families. At Dave's request, there will be no funeral. Instead, when we are all able to gather safely again, we will have a celebration of his life with good food, drinks, laughs, and stories to honor his memory.
