Pearl Freedman Goldberg 77, of Coggeshall Way Middletown, RI died on May 6, 2008, at her home accompanied by her family. She was born February 23, 1931 in Vineland NJ where she lived for most of her life until moving to RI in 1999 to live with her daughter Leslie and family. She was the daughter of the late Sam and the late Jean (Levy) Freedman. Mrs. Goldberg was a devoated mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children; Dr. Craig Goldberg of Putney, VT, Ellyn Bruce of Tucson, AZ, Leslie Saunders and her hsband Stephen of Middletown, RI, and Linda Landers of Peterborough, NH. She is survived by her grandchildren; Rebecca Saunders of New York City, Eric and Joshua Saunders of Middletown, RI Micah Chambers-Goldberg and his wife Tiffany of Los Angeles, Anna Chambers-Goldberg of Minneapolis, Nina Goldberg of Bratteboro, VT, CJ Bruce of Los Angeles, Tommy and Andrew Bruce of Tusson, and Everett Landers of Peterborough, NH. She is also survived by her brother Gary Freedman and is wife Carole of Ocean City, NJ. She was the sister of the late Irwin Freedman and his wife, Ann of Vineland, NJ She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Goldberg was a substitute teacher for many years in Vineland and Voorhees public schools. She was a longtime member of Beth Israel Congregation and an active member of it's Sisterhood and Hadassah.

Since moving to Rhode Island, Mrs Goldberg was a member of Temple Shalom in Middletown.

A graveside service and burial will be held at Alliance Cemetery in Norma, NJ on Friday, May 9, 2008. at 11:00 am

The family will sit Shiva at the Saunders' home on May 10, 2008 at 8:30 PM
