Obituary of John A. Giordano

John Giordano of Vineland, son of the Joseph and Frances Giordano of Hammonton, N.J. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 14, 2012 at age 86. Beloved husband of Rose (Scarpa) Giordano for 60 years, he was the devoted father of Mary Ann (Anthony) Dandrea and Patricia (Christopher) Chieffo of Vineland. Brother of Jeanette DiBiase of Vineland and predeceased sister, Lillian Alizzo of Hammonton. He was the cherished grandfather of Jana and the late Dana Dandrea, Monica and Andrea Chieffo. Other related family are Anthony (Anne) Scarpa of Vineland, Angelina (Charles) Giacomelli, John F. (Jana) Scarpa, Joseph D. (Gaye) Scarpa of Florida. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in India from 1944 to 1946. He was a very familiar face serving for many years as an usher at Sacred Heart Church. He was an avid sports fan, as well as enjoyed playing racquet ball and tennis. His many hobbies included maintaining his meticulous lawn and flower gardening. John was an insurance agent with Colonial Life Insurance Company for many years. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.
